Eric Nye has been racing the Canadian Nationals for a few years now. Always a contender in the MX2 West series, Nye used consistent speed and results to win the new nine-round MX2 championship in 2008. He looked to defend his title in 2009 with the Royal Distributing KTM Canada team but eventually finished behind Teddy Maier. In 2010 Nye's hopes to regain the championship were dashed by a wrist injury in Moncton.
