Dillan Epstein and Rockstar OTSFF Yamaha Part Ways

By Billy Rainford

Dillan Epstein is the gregarious racer from Thousand Oaks, California, who has spent the past couple summers racing our Canadian National Motocross Series. Dillan became a fan favourite with his willingness to interact with them on race day and his from-the-heart podium speeches.

When we arrived in the pits at round 3 of the Rockstar Triple Crown Supercross Series this past Saturday in Quebec City, we noticed that Dillan wasn’t in the Rockstar OTSFF Yamaha pits — only #54 Phil Nicoletti and #2 Matt Goerke‘s bikes were inside and on stands.

When we asked team manager Steve Simms for an explanation, he was rather vague, but confirmed that Dillan had been let go with pay.

We got in touch with Dillan Monday afternoon and he was understandably tight-lipped about the whole situation.

All he would say is, “[I’d] rather keep it to myself and move on from it.”

Suffice it to say, the two parties involved have decided it’s best to go their separate ways and simply move on.

Hopefully, Dillan lands himself a ride somewhere, whether it’s above or below the border. Any series is better with him in it.
