Future West Moto Arenacross Round 4 Canceled

As we’re sure most of you already know, the 4th round of the 2018/2019 Future West Moto Canadian Arenacross Championships was cut short Saturday evening after a terrible practice incident sent 2 people to hospital.

From FWM Twitter page:

Due to circumstances beyond our control, racing for Saturday, December 1st has been cancelled. Future West Moto apologizes for any inconvenience. A flagger was injured during Pro Practice. She is in an intensive care unit and is currently doing well. Thoughts are with her.

Cade Clason was also involved in the incident and is also doing well. FWM thanks you for your concern.

We spoke with Cade today and he was obviously shaken up about the whole incident. He didn’t want to get into too much detail, as there is currently and investigation underway to determine exactly what and why the incident happened.

He had a nasty cut on his leg and there was concern for his femoral artery and for the femur itself. Fortunately, there was no break found and they were able to stitch him up and he will be fine. His main concern was with the flagger he hit and her well-being.

Cade will fly home to South Carolina on Monday and will need some couch time before he’s back to 100%. He has a hematoma on his leg and also received stitches to his elbow.

Our thoughts are with the flagger who is said to be doing well, as per the FWM tweet.

We’ll keep you posted on any further details and information as we receive it.
