Maxime Sylvestre finished 1st in 450 Pro-Am class in Victoriaville, QC!
Quebec CMRC Ice Racing Series: Round 1, Victoriaville, QC, January 18th, 2009.
KTM dealer Picotte Motorsport rider, Maxime Sylvestre participated at the 1st round of the Quebec CMRC Ice Racing Series last weekend in Victoriaville, QC. He entered the 450 Pro-Am and the Pro-Am GP classes. Sylvestre dominated the Pro-Am 450 category from start to finish. He was able to take the lead and to cross the finish line in 1st position in the 3 motos. In the Pro-Am GP class, he took the 2nd place overall. He had some difficulties in the first moto but came back strong for the 2 other ones. He finished with 6-1-1 results on his KTM 450 SX-F.
KTM ATV rider Bobby Desjasdins was also in Victoriaville last weekend. He had a good weekend and finished in 6th position in the ATV Pro-Am 450 and in the Pro-Am open classes on his KTM ATV 450 SX prepared by KTM dealership Moto des Ruisseaux.
Bobby Desjardins wins the 2009 ATV Grand Prix!
2009 ATV Grand Prix: St-Anne du Lac, QC, January 25th, 2009.
Sunday was the 2009 ATV Grand Prix at Ste-Anne du Lac and KTM dealer Moto des Ruisseaux ATV rider, Bobby Desjardins came out strong and Ready to Race. He rode very well and didn’t make any mistakes in the first moto. He crossed the finish line with almost a half lap lead on his KTM ATV 450 SX. He also finished in 1st position in his second moto taking the overall for the day.
Desjardins also rode in the motorcycle class on a KTM 505 XC-F prepared by KTM dealer Moto des Ruisseaux and ended up with 2-3 results.

wins the Endurocross Championship Exhibition!
Annual Endurocross Championship Exhibition: Vancouver Motorcycle Show, BC, January 23rd-25th, 2009.
Last weekend during the Vancouver MMIC Motorcycle show was the 2nd edition of the Endurocross Championship Exhibition. This Endurocross “is the latest rage in extreme off-road racing, invented to exhibit the intensity and diversity of cross-country racing in a spectator-accessible environment’’. KTM rider, Cory Graffunder battled hard with the other riders and finished in 1st position on his KTM 250 XC-F prepared by KTM dealer RTR Performance.
Wil Hahn and Martin Davalos, showed up to the first round of the Lites East Supercross Series "Ready to Race"!
US Supercross Lites East Series: Round 1, Houston, TX, January 24th, 2009.
Factory Muscle Milk/MDK/KTM rider Wil Hahn, who is still recovering from a practice crash injury just five weeks back, surprised the crowd when he qualified 6th in his heat race. Martin Davalos also put in an impressive ride with his 3rd place heat race finish. In the main event both riders earned decent starts with Hahn rounding the first turn in 6th while Davalos was just two spots back in 8th. Both riders rode a smooth and consistent race maintaining their positions throughout the fifteen laps. At the finish, Hahn came across the line in 6th with his teammate right behind in 7th.
David Kamo Finishes 2nd at National Hare & Hound Series!
National Hare & Hound Series: Round 1, Lucerne, CA, January 25th, 2009.
Factory KTM rider David Kamo finished 2nd overall at the first round of the AMA National Hare and Hound Series. His teammate, David Pearson, in only his second race back since breaking his leg finished 6th overall. Taking home the first win of the season was KTM support rider Russ Pearson.
Russell Bobbitt won the National Enduro Series!
National Enduro Series: Round 1, Wedgefield, SC, January 25th, 2009.
Russell Bobbitt started the day off strong and continued to increase his lead on the field eventually winning three of the six special tests. His teammate, Mike Lafferty after made a few changes at halftpoint that helped him increase his speed, however, it was too late in the race to finish on the podium and he had to settle for a fifth place finish. Factory KTM GNCC XC-2 rider, Cory Buttrick started out well and rode a consistent race, surprising everyone when he finished third overall for the day. His teammate, Kailub Russell, also had a solid race finishing 6th overall.
One-two on 2009 Dakar podium and eight of top ten on KTM machines!
2009 Dakar: South America.
After more than 9000 km through the often challenging and always spectacular scenery of Argentina and Chile, KTM factory rider Marc Coma crossed the line as the outstanding winner to claim the prize as the first winner of a Dakar held in South America. With the Dakar 2009, KTM, the company that is always “Ready to Race” not only celebrated the top two podium positions; eight of the top 10 riders were onboard KTM machines, underlining dominance of the sports machines “Made in Austria”. After more than 52 hours on the bike Coma came home 1h25' 38 ahead of fellow KTM factory rider Frenchman Cyril Despres. Coma thus reclaims the number one plate from Despres to register his second Dakar title and described his feelings saying “happiness doesn’t even come close”.
