San Diego Supercross Results

The rain that pounded San Diego for the last few days held off long enough to get in some decent racing last night for the fifth round of the 2010 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series. The track was slippery in places but by all accounts was in much better shape than most people expected after the weather this week.

Weimer continued to look dominant in the Lites class, but it was another week of surprises in the Supercross class. Davi Millsaps rode steady on a night where many of the points leaders were involved in crashes, for his first win in two years. With Dungey and Villopoto off the box last night, there's just ten points separating the top three riders in the series, so it's still very much anyone's to win.

So far this season is very much a changing of the guard on the big bikes, as none of the top five finishers from last year's series is currently in the top five.
