PR: Orange Motorsports - July 25th Race Report - Ste. Julie- Round 6

We can’t believe it that there are only three more rounds to go-

All the hard work by everyone is definitely paying off as Jeremy Medaglia #17 is sitting in 3rd overall!

It was much brighter this year than last in Quebec.  The sun was out, and there were only sprinkles of rain on Saturday night but nothing to get slopping around in like last year.

Just as usual the Quebec fans came out and cheered for their local riders like no other fans can .  They definitely show true loyalty and undenying support.

The first moto in MX2 did not see Jeremy #17 get the best start as his gate did not quite drop fully to the ground.  However, not defeated, he controlled the bike like no other and rode with heart and determination by coming from 25th to 6th.

In the second moto, Jeremy got out of the gate in around 12th position.   He rode hard and was passing up to 5th when he slid out a bit and fell back to finish in 7th.  Not what he would have wanted, but that is how it goes sometimes in racing.

For the day, Jeremy rode solid and finished 7th overall.

Nathan Bles #129 and Richard Grey #194 also came to ride Ste. Julie.  These fast intermediates were ready for their second pro race to prove they have what it takes to put their KTMS up front.

Richard Grey #194 has shown he is a solid starter and can run at the front of the pack throughout the moto on his KTM 250SXF. He is more mature than his 16 years and has the confidence it takes to put himself out front, which he showed in the first moto by coming around the first corner with the top runners. In moto 2, Richard started up front again but came over the finish line jump and fell after coming together with another rider.  However, he got up and managed to come from last to 25th.  Overall, Richard managed 15th for the day – just one position behind #107.

Nathan Bles #129 rode consistently in the stacked MX2 class.  He got caught up in the gate in the first moto and charged from near the back to 18th.  Nathan rode smooth on his KTM 250SXF and kept sight of the top ten. In moto 2, Nathan got off the gate mid pack and was able to stay there throughout the entire moto until a slight slip down the hill by the mechanics’ area resulted in him having to pick up his bike and get back in the race.  Nathan had no problem – he re-gouped, got his KTM going quickly, and managed to finish 19th.  Overall, Nathan managed 19th.  Great ending for the day!!

Congratulations to Jeremy #17, Richard #194 and Nathan #129 – keep up the great results and let’s try to hit the podium next week in Moncton – we are all behind you and so are our 2010 sponsors – KTM Canada, Ogio, Factory Connection, Matrix, Motovan, Arson Clothing, Bondi Engines, Maxima, Pirelli, Protaper, LB graphics, Regina, FMF, TriArch Educational Services.
