Greetings, Humans,

What a time to be aligned! Outdoor motocross season is in full swing around the world, and I want to congratulate everyone who has thrown a leg over a bike and lined up behind a gate.

Truthfully, I can’t believe I’m writing that. There was a time when I thought it was all about winning. Over the years, however, I’ve come to appreciate something far more important…you have to be in it to win it. Showing up matters. So if you’ve been out there competing, learning, crashing, rebuilding, trying again, or simply finding the courage to start…good on ya.

And if you’re feeling discontented with where you are right now, perhaps that’s not a sign that something is wrong. Perhaps it’s an invitation. An opportunity to change the tide. I’ve found that some of life’s greatest growth comes disguised as disappointment and discomfort; the very resistance that prepares one for lift off. The moments we want to avoid often become the moments that shape us most. At those crossroads, we get to choose: step toward courage and the unknown, or remain exactly where we are. After all, elevation comes with resistance. A plane doesn’t take off because the wind is behind it. It rises because it meets the wind head-on.

Everyone on this planet has gone through something, is going through something, or is finding their way out of something. We all carry challenges, setbacks, and stories. Yet it is the choices we make in each moment that shape who we become. In the words of the great Alice Beatrice, “Never a bad wind that blows.”

Leaning into the headwind,

Jacqueline
