Round one of the Headingley Sport Shop Fall Provincial Championship Series opened at Grunthal Centennial Raceway.

Justin Gevoga triple classed it at GCR, picking up the Victory in the Youth B class to go with a pair of second place finishes in the MX-2 and MX-3 Junior classes.

Richmond Morin continues to dominate the 85cc 12-16 and Supermini classes taking all four motos on the day.  Ryan Linto and Mark Sexton picked up second and third respectively in 85cc 12-16 and swapped spot on the Supermini podium.

Tyler Bergen picked up his first moto win as well as the overall in the MX-2 Intermediate class with a 3-1 day.  Branden Senchuk (1-3) and Marcus Giesbrecht (2-2) completed the top three.

Adam Wiebe staked his claim to top spot in the 50cc 7-8 class with a pair of moto victories.  Radek Unrau and Tyler Groening joined Wiebe on the box.

Local Pro James Simner returned to racing after almost two seasons away from the MMA.  Simner picked up the Youth class victory ahead of Chris Plett and Matt Anseeuw.

Jordan Devloo left GCR with a perfect 100 points for the day with victories in the 85cc 7-11 and 65cc 10-11 classes.

4-2 Moto scores were good enough for the overall victory for Ryan Klassen in a volatile MX-1 Intermediate class. Branden Senchuk and Everett Peters picked up the second and third place payouts.

Ian Blair captured his first Vet Junior class victory with a 3-1 day. Stacy Groening (1-3) and Olaf Rohm (4-2) completed the top trio.

Brandon Berard picked up a moto win and the overall with 1-2 rides in the 50cc 4-6 class.  Kasen Andrushko and Rylin Katazinski rounded out the podium.

The Pro classes at GCR were like a Formula Suzuki ride day with all podium positions being taken by Formula riders.  At the head of that list is Aaron Pfrimmer (332) who took both Pro class victories and was followed closely to the box by his little brother Josh who grabbed a pair of second place finishes in his first event as a pro.  Third spot in the MX-1 Class went to Adam Pfeiffer while Earl Reimer finished off the MX-2 podium.

D.J. Burmey picked up the overall in the 65cc 7- class with a 1-1 day. Jaxton Unrau (2-2) and Nathan Williamson (3-3) followed Burmey to the box.

Jamie Burmey topped a Ladies class podium that included Carmen Regier and Lauren Gilmore.

The Beginner MX-2 class saw Rodney Thiessen take the overall with 2-1 finishes.

Scott Giesbrecht was the victor in the MX-1 Beginner class.

GCR local Sidney Froese was the toast of the MX-1 Junior class topping the podium. Joining Froese on the box was Kirk Green and Ian Smith.

David Ledarney (1-1) topped a 25+ class podium that included Luke Macfadden (3-2) and Johnnie Unrau (2-3).

Formula Suzuki’s Earl Reimer picked up another Vet Master class victory over Johnnie Unrau and Paul Richards.

See you at the races???
