SDL Eastern Amateur National: Friday Photo Report

Dave woke up everyone at 7am with his announcement saying the management were trying to figure out if they were going to ride today. It was decided that they would wait until 10 to see if the rain stopped. And if so, races would start at noon. Unfortunately the rain hasn't stopped, and they have forcasted much better weather for the next 2 days. So they will run an extended program tomorrow with a half day of racing on Sunday. Hopefully the awards ceremoney will be over quick and everyone can be on there way home by early afternoon.

About the only thing going on this morning other then the track crew trying to keep the water drained. Was a "how muddy can you get in 15 minutes contest". Everyone that participated recieved a gift card for Royal Distributing and the winner took home a $100 Royal Distbruting gift card. Some of the local vendors also put in some t-shirts, goggles and other swag for the runner ups.

Afterwards all the participants got the option of taking a "shower". Kevin was even nice enough to turn the heat on for them.

Was just overhearing some things in the office, and appearently 2 skateboard teams are supposed to be showing up and setting up a half pipe to do shows on. Not sure if they'll be able to run tonight, but they should be good to go for tomorrow. Also the redbull Mini Cooper was here handing out red bulls to whomever wanted one. The redbull DJ should be here tomorrow with his rig spinning some tunes.

They are calling for 21 with sun and clouds tomorrow, with rain stopping around midnight so hopefully we'll be fine to run first thing tomorrow morning.
