Behind the Lens : 2010 Blackfoot Photo Shoot
Hey everyone, after spending the past week in Southern Georgia I thought I'd bring a behind the scenes look from this year's Blackfoot Yamaha photo shoot that we shot at the Georgia Practice Facility in Cairo, Georgia. This is the third year that we've done the shoot at GPF and the predictable weather and great facility keep us coming back year after year. Trying to line up a photo shoot in Canada in the spring is always a crapshoot, weather wise, so it's nice to know that more than likely it's going to be hot and sunny when you head down there.
There's a lot that goes into a shoot like this logistically. Riders and staff have to fly in from all over the continent – Dusty Klatt
from California, Tyler Medaglia
from Nova Scotia, suspension guru Joe Skidd from Ontario, mechanics Jeff Mason and Jarrod Jongsgaard and team owner Jason Mitchell
from Calgary and myself from Vancouver. Colton Facciotti
and Kyle Beaton
were already down at GPF so they didn't have to go anywhere. Also, enough parts to build the photo shoot bikes have to be shipped in so that's a big job in itself.
After meeting Dusty in Denver, we flew to Orlando where we met Joe and Jason and drove the 5 hours to Georgia. The mechanics had flown in a couple days early to get the bikes ready so by the time we got there on Tues morning everything was shined up and ready to go. The bikes look great, it's the first all Canadian team since Blackfoot began and we shot a tonne all week and it turned out awesome.
Here's a some shots from our week in Georgia. Click on the first image to view as a slideshow.
