The Ste Julie track
Brian Koster and Mark Travers do a little pre race analysis for the TV camera.
The Quebec fans always pack the house to cheer on their hometown riders.
The Monster Julies were in the house!
Two of Quebec's most popular riders, Jean-Sebatien Roy and freestyler Ben Milot were there. Milot did a freestyle show during halftime.
Jared Stock had a nice packing streamer during practice.
The Cernic's Kawasaki mechanics were having a good time. Team owner Billy Whitley(l) was running the pit board for Jack Carpenter.
Davey Fraser made his first National appearance of the year. He really liked the dirt at Ste Julie.
Donk gives Freddy Karrle the OK to take a breath.
Eric Nye had to ride hard to put in to come from the back rides, going 5-5 for 4th overall.

Jeremy Medaglia's day didn't start so hot, getting stuck in the gate in moto one.
It was the first round of the Women's National this past weekend. Reigning champ, Heidi Cooke, holeshot both motos and finished second to 2008 champ, Jackie Ross.
Jared Allison has been strong all season but Ste Julie was a real breakout ride for the Blackfoot Direct backed privateer. He holeshot the second moto and went 4-3 for his first ever national podium finish.
Making it even more amazing was that Jared's fork cap came unscrewed during the moto and splashed him with oil. Luckily he was able to finish.
The Allison family celebrates their first and hopefully not last podium finish.
Though unable to defend her title last year, Jackie Ross returned to Canada this past weekend and picked up right where she finished off, winning both motos and the overall.
Coming off his podium last weekend at Gopher Dunes, Kaven Benoit had a career ride in front of his home fans. After riding to a solid second in the first moto, he held off a hard charging Teddy Maier to take his first moto and overall win.
Benoit takes his first moto win in the second moto at Ste Julie.
Maier and Benoit celebrate a great battle in moto two.
The fans went nuts for the Benoit and his first ever win.
Colton Facciotti grabbed the early lead in moto win but things went south in a big hurry.
Facciotti went down hard on the first lap and his day was done. Luckily, he rode off under his own power but it's unsure if he'll be back next weekend or not after sustaining a concussion.
Dusty Klatt showed shades of his former dominant self in the first moto, stretching out his lead to almost a minute. After taking the second moto win as well, he now finds himself leading the championship by 22 points.
Bobby Kiniry's second moto did not go well. Bike issues left him standing on the start line for the start of moto two while his team worked on getting his bike working. He started 2 laps down and could only come back to 32nd.
Jack Carpenter made his first appearance of the season, finishing 10th in the second MX1 moto. He'll also be racing at Sand Del Lee.
Only a week after his horrific Gopher Dunes crash, Josh Demuth came out and showed the heart that he's displayed all season. He charged hard all day and grabbed third in both motos and second overall.
Kyle Keast and Troy Adams tangled up in the first moto. The charged back to 8th and 9th, respectively.
Kornell Nemeth had a great second moto, finishing second and third overall for the day.
One of the big stories of the day was former AMA National Champion, Mike Brown, debuting KTM's new 350cc bike at Ste. Julie. Unfortunately he could only muster 10th overall on the new machine.
New Zealand's Mason Phillips had a strong day. He rode to 4th overall on the strength of 4-6 moto scores.
Jack Carpenter was working as his own mechanic at Ste. Julie.
A large crowd was on hand to see one of their own take his first national win.
Mason Phillips helped out with the webcast duties for the second MX2 moto.
Apparently my camera didn't get the memo.
With Shawn Rife out with an injury, Ryan Gauld had a chance to race his bike at Ste. Julie for a story he's writing for MXP magazine. Gauldy rode to respectable 14-14 moto finishes.
Simon Homans made his first appearance of the season, finishing a strong 5th in the second MX1 moto.
Spencer Knowles had a good day. He only holeshot one moto this weekend but rode to 6th overall.
Troy Adams finished 5th overall in MX1.
Teddy Maier erased his poor showing last weekend at Gopher by going 1-2 for second overall. With Tyler Medaglia's second moto DNF, Maier finds himself back in contention to retain his MX2 title.
Another local Quebec rider making his first national appearance of 2010 was Tim Tremblay. Riding MX2, he finished a strong 5th overall for the day.
The Allison's haven't spent a lot of time on the podium so Jared's dad, Brent, makes sure they get the sponsors right.
Tyler Medaglia saw his 41 point lead shrink to 14 after a second moto DNF. He had a strong 1st moto, working his way up to third by the end of the moto.
Jared Allison, Kaven Benoit and Teddy Maier, your MX2 podium.
Kornel Nemeth, Dusty Klatt and Josh Demuth...the MX1 podium
