Walton Trans Can Photo Report
This is not the most timely photo report I've ever put up but after finally getting a chance to process all the images that I shot over the course of the 2010 Parts Canada Walton Trans Can I figure better late than never to bring you the riders that won their classes at this year's event. I've got a lot more shots on my website so hit up this link to check to check out a bigger slice of the week that was the Trans-Can: http://jkliss.photoshelter.com/gallery/2010-Walton-Trans-Can/G0000a8CCepwU9.4/

Despite a horrific start crash in one of his motos where he was stuck between his tire and exhaust, Nicky Beatty managed to win the GP Intermediate class.
Former 125 East champ, Josh Woods, made the trip up from Michigan to race and took home the +25 class win with a clean sweep.
After coming up to Canada to race the Women's East series where she finished second overall, Alabama's Taylor Miller stayed for Walton and took the title with a 3 moto sweep.
One of the most dominant riders all week was Michigan's Joey Crown, who won all his motos in both the 65cc 10-11 class and 85cc 7-11 class.
Not to be outdone, Joey's dad, Matt Crown swept all three motos in the +40 class and finished second in Vet Master.
The man to beat Crown in the Vet Master class was none other than Canadian legend, Doug DeHaan. Dougie D made the trip over from his new home in Austria, borrowed his brother's bike and swept all three motos to take the win.
Reigning Youth Champion, Greg Durivage, will hold onto the Number One plate for another year as the Michigan native went 1-1-2 to take the win.
The younger DaSilva, Christopher-Jay was the one to beat in the 65cc 7-9 class as he swept all three motos.
Women's class contender, Denaye Giroux was injured before Walton but still came out to support her sister, Amber, who was racing.
There was a great, last lap battle for second in the final Women's class moto between Kirsten MacDonald and Kate McKerroll. It was celebration time for Kate as she came out on top with a last corner pass
Michael DaSilva was the dominant rider in the older minicycle classes at Walton. He won all the 85cc 12-16 and Supermini motos except one plus finished 4th in the Schoolboy class. He then made the jump right to the National level by signing up as an Intermediate for Sunday's pro race.
The biggest prize at the Trans-Can is the Bronze Boot and this year's recipient was Bradley Dool who won the MX2 Junior, GP Junior and Schoolboy classes.
On Saturday the Unadilla National was being showed live so Patty Stratton fired it up on his motorhome and everyone got a chance to catch the action right from Walton.
This scenario played out all week at Walton in the MX2 Intermediate class. Richard Grey(194) would get the holeshot and lead the early going while Cole Thompson would slowly stalk him and eventually make the pass to take the win.
After watching him all weekend, there's no doubt that Cole Thompson is Canada's fastest Amateur rider right now. Even when he got a bad start it didn't take him long to work his way to the front. His smooth, calm style is a dead ringer for Colton Facciotti and the future looks bright for the Ontario native.
