Round eight, the finale round of the 2010 Transcanada Motorsports/Capitol Motosports Fall Series held home at Altona's Moto Park X on a rather cold and windy Sunday in October. Many championships fights were hanging in the balance and spectators were treated to a great day of racing in every class.

 

I'm sure I can speak on behalf of the MMA and give a big shout out and "get well" to a few Intermediates who got hurt today; Coard Allard with a broken clavicle, Marcus Giesbrecht who cross-rutted over a berm and had his 250f land on his stomach which ruptured his spleen and some other internal injuries, and to Richard Kreidl who had a gnarly crash in the infamous Altona rollers suffering multiple fractures to his hip and femur. Here's to a speedy and problem-free recovery to you guys.

A dominant force in the pro classes this year Josh Pfrimmer took home both MX-1 Pro and MX-2 Pro titles.

Addison Sandfuchs grabbed the MX-1 Junior title over a hard-charging Justin "Factory" Fillion and Brett Gaudry.

Youth A saw Lindsay Masse take the championship over Rio Stoesz and Braden Jonsson.

Topping the 50cc 4-6 score charts was Troy Horbaty. Zach Neufeld and Kieran Stewart took second and third respectively on the series podium.

Derek Anseew took the MX-1 Intermediate championship ahead of Branded Senchuck and Garrett Graboweski.

Brittany Mann grabbed the Ladies class title by a mere one point over Lauren Gilmore. Taylor Masse followed the two on the final spot of the series podium.

Kent Navika sure stepped it up this year. Navitka scored the 85cc 12-16 class championship over Josh Bell and Austin Wiebe.

Mirroring his spring series results, Brian Klassen took both 65cc Pee Wee A and 85cc 7-11 series.

ATV's weren't raced in Altona, as the MMA ATV championships were finished up at the last round in Gimli. Warren Wiebe took the ATV Beginner title.

The end of this season also marked the end of Bert "Moto" Van Huizen's multi-decade run as Moto-Medic at the local races. Thanks for all your hard work Moto! Racing won't be the same without you on the track.
