Grande Prairie Arenacross Friday Night Photo Report
Despite extremely cold temps outside, the action inside Grande Prairie, Alberta's Crystal Centre has been red hot with the first night of racing in the books. With a more traditional arenacross track here in GP, racing has been tight and RTR KTM's Michael Willard
was the big winner, taking both main events. Here's a few quick photos before racing resumes here in a few hours for night two....
This weekend's stops on the Nex-Trax Canadian Arenacross series are taking place at Grande Prairie, Alberta's Crystal Centre.
Jared Stock is one of the Alberta riders who came out to race this weekend. Despite taking out a flagger during his heat, he was able to come back and make the Open main, finishing 9th.
Michael Willard had his best race of the series last night. He got great starts and took the win in both classes.
Kyle Beaton came into the night with the points lead in the AX2 class and was looking to regain the points lead in the Open class but things went horribly wrong in his heat race...
...he cased a triple in the rhythm section and was launched off of his bike and into the fence, cutting his leg over. Unfortunately, he was off to the hospital to get stitches and his night was done.
Kevin Urquhart maintained his solid riding with a 3rd and a 2nd on the night, plus the head to head win.
