You ever do something you wish you hadn’t but then when you think more about it you’re glad you did? Well, that’s what happened last Saturday night as the excitement of the LA Supercross got the better of my ‘good’ judgement. In the end, I lost a bet (and I’m not one to welch) to a 12-year old which gave him the privilege of writing all the ‘tag lines’ for the series-ending, Winter Ams, photo report. It should be noted that #664 Kieran Doherty isn’t your average 12-year old. He walks around using three to four syllable words like he’s spent several years wandering the aisles of the Harvard Library…but I digress. Congratulations to everyone who raced, worked, and participated in some way at the 40th Annual Winter Ams presented by FMF.  It was a great series with great battles and racing at each event.  The medals were spectacular and the overall plaques were something to behold.  Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the riders from Doug at Kawasaki and Team Green, Joel from FMF Racing and all the wonderful people at ASMF (Action Sports Medicine Foundation).

Great job Kieran. Thanks to everyone at Gatorback, Dade City, and Motocross of Marion County in Reddick for showing the MXRanking rig great hospitality. We all had a great series and look forward to the next races we hit. Look for the big, black motorhome down at the remainder of the South Florida MX Series down at Thundercross and Bithlo next.

#17 Kelsey Morris Women’s +12

Great job Kelsey, this series had some serious contenders and you came out on top!!

#133 Jordan Bailey 85 (9-11) Always on his game and racing to the finish line, Jordan shines in every round, works hard and it shows every time he swings a leg over the bike.

#31 Barry Carsten +40 This wiley vet seems to get faster as the motos go on. He could teach us young guys a lesson or two. He looked so fast in every round, always standing on the podium for the overall.

#16 Tristan Charboneau 85 (12-13)/Supermini 1 (12-15) The fastest Mini rider, hands down. This rider was fast, smooth and always composed on and off the track. His training with Nario Izzi is paying off.

#124 Bradford Young Supermini 2 (14-16) This Kawi Rider put in a solid ride week in and week out. With a deep field of riders, Young was able to rise above and podium his Kawi in three rounds and take the overall.

#12 Colton Ford Youth (12-16)/Shoolboy (14-16) KTM strikes again; this rider has a great mechanic (Eric Howe) keeping his KTM's running great and he rode them to the podium in each round. Great work Colton, Nice whips, we coined him the "WHIP SHOW".

#5 Robert Devonald-Batt Open B/Four Stroke KTM--third times a charm. Orange, gold and Florida seem to go hand in hand. This rider was consistent and worked hard in every round, topping the podium in Reddick, Gatorback 2 and always hitting the podium in the two other rounds.

#285 Tony Archer 250 Pro/Open Pro/250 A Yamaha should be very proud of the overalls this rider collected to start off the 2011 year. He looked solid, rode hard and never backed off, taking his Yamaha home with some serious hardware.

#444 Justin Cokinos 50 (7-8) Stock A great series for Justin, he really rode his Cobra well in each round and deserved the overall for the series.

#10 Gage Stine 50 (4-8) Stock Congrats to Gage, he took his KTM to the top of the podium in the 4-8 stock class. Excellent job and you should expect to see him on podiums in the near future.

#524 Jake Beaudoin 65 (10-11) Another KTM victory and overall; amazing job Jake.
