The weather was hot but the racing was even hotter! The 2011 CMRC Monster Energy Motocross Nationals kicked off yesterday in Kamloops B.C. and DMX was on hand to take in the moments and the sights!
You don't get to see this at every track we go to!
The day started off smooth ...

Tyler Medaglia was a man on a misson and showed people he was the fastest MX2 rider of the day.
Paul Rak is the man on tour making everything look good around the tracks.
Spencer Knowles took both holeshots in MX2.
J.Medaglia and Sjoberg had a couple great battles all day.
Austin Politelli had a good run going in Moto 1 until him and Knowles collided in the last corner of the first moto and both went down before he could take his podium spot.
Knowles is riding better than ever!
Kieran Leigh from NZ went 9th overall in his Canadian debut.
Topher Ingalls' Canadian debut did not go according to plan. He lost an engine in moto one and couldn't get his bike repaired in time for moto two.
Jeremy Medaglia is pulling the Dungey fist pump!
Jer was pumped after taking the first moto win of the year.
Hoyer rocks this stylish camelbak to keep him hydrated all day. It must of worked as he got 6th in moto one.
The last thing the injured Goerke needed was a crash off the start.
Colton is back to his dominant ways.
Shawn Maffenbeier is on the gas this year taking 7th overall!
Hoyer impressed all day putting in solid motos.
Goerke decided to sit the 2nd moto out after injuring his hand worse.
Jay Burke has a great program going this year with his own team. He managed a 13th overall on the rough course. Jay will light it up in the upcoming rounds.
Keast suffered from bad starts but still had a good debut on his new KTM. As always Keast will pick it up as the year goes on.
Were you expecting to see Knowles leading?
Morgan Burger came up and got 5th overall. He almost went unnoticed. Good ride!
Sjoberg and Jeremy seem close in speed. This will make for a great season!
Kaven Benoit proved himself a strong top contender with solid finishes and ending the day with a 4th overall.

Matt Lee worked hard all weekend to get the track race ready.
Missy Hackett rips on her Husky CR125. She finished 3rd overall in the Women's class.
Denaye Giroux is riding well this year. She is looking to take the #1 plate this year that escaped her in 2010. She finished second overall.
Washington State's Sydney Dickson took the overall in the first Ladies national of 2011.
Your Ladies Overall Podium: Dickson, Giroux and Hackett.
Jared Stock led his first MX1 national for four corners!
Kevin Urquhart impressed as he was in 2nd for more than half of the second MX1 moto. He went down and was able to salvage a 6th.
Siebler had a motor expire on him in Moto 2. He was running near the front in both motos before this happened.
Willard rides the 350 well. His riding reminded us of the Willard of 2005.
Bobby Kiniry took second in moto two. He is highly motivated, always smiling and is going for a championship.
Get use to this sight. It is going to be a long summer!

A great day wraps up!
The Medaglia's were one happy family after Kamloops. Tyler and Jeremy swapped moto wins and are both tied in the points lead. Not a bad start to the series.

Excellent photo report, and great job on KTM's part representing MX so well. I'm looking forward to seeing that 350 go at the "Glade. I do miss Nemuth though, representing us bigger boys.
