Altona's Moto Park X hosted the third round of the Spring Series.
One of the best battles of the day was the three-way war between Ezra Ginter (74), Kasen Andrushko (22) and Sam Wilman in the first 50cc 7-8 moto. These three were so close for the whole moto that you could have thrown a blanket over them. Ginter lead the trio for the majority of the first moto until Andrushko made a pass for the lead with only a couple corners to go. Andrushko won the second moto for the overall. Ezra Ginter and Noah Jacobson rounded out the podium.
Marcus Giesbrecht hit his stride this weekend. The Brotherhood Motosports Kawasaki rider took both MX-2 Pro motos and the overall over Rio Stoesz and Coard Allard respectively.
Nathan Harder pulls an MX-3 Junior holeshot en route to a third overall in Altona. Harder also grabbed third overall in Youth B action.
Guest announcer Aaron Wiebe graced the PA system this weekend as he called the races.
Brett Gaudry (411) leads the MX-1 Junior class around Altona's famous first corner. Gaudry took second overall with 3-2 motos behind Scott Giesbrecht's (138) 1-1.
Brian Klassen grabbed a second overall in the 85cc 12-16 class with 3-2 moto scores.
Mark Sexton and his Adventure Power Products Kawasaki gets the jump on the MX-2 Intermediate class...
...Sexton went on to take second overall in the MX-2 Intermediate class with 4-1 motos behind Carson Wiebe (2-2) and ahead of Tylor Plett (3-3).
Matthew Stokes was on a tear in the 50cc 4-6 class. Stokes put in 2-1 races for the top spot on the class podium.
Richard Vanderwerf picked up second overall in Plus 40 A and third overall in Vet Master.
Making his first appearance of 2011, Caleb Van der Meer make his mark on the Junior classes at Moto Park X. Van der Meer took overalls in Youth B with a two moto sweep, and in MX-2 Junior with 1-2.
Jamie Routley rounded out the top five in the Ladies class with a pair of fifths for fifth overall.

Ethan Spagrud picked up third overall in the 65cc 7-9 division.
Dustin Konzelman picked up a top five in MX-1 Intermediate when his 5-3 motos earned him fifth overall...
...Konzelman shows the toll his arms and shoulders took from roost after battling for third in his last Intermediate moto. Ouch!
Jeff Klassen picked up a second moto win on his way to a second overall in MX-2 Beginner.
Nathan Klassen grabbed a first overall in MX-1 Beginner.
Cam Toole took the last spot on the Supermini podium with third overall as well as fourteenth in Youth B aboard his KTM 144SX.
Coard Allard's 2-1 in MX-1 Pro was good for the overall on the day...
... The second MX-1 Pro moto ended with some excitement. Coard Allard and Lindsay Masse were battling and with two corners to go, Allard washed his front end out. Masse, with no where to go, ran into Allard's bike and both went down. Coard had the advantage getting his bike fired first and took the win.
Dylan Wiebe made an appearance in his home town's race just missing the Youth A top five with fifth overall.
Tye Beischer's pair of second place finishes in 65cc 10-11 earned him second overall.
Rounding out the Vet Junior podium was Sean Schrot.

Jimmy Kornelsen grabbed a fifth place finish overall in the 85cc 7-11 division.
Richmond Morin and Caleb Van der Meer has a battle worth noting in the last MX-2 Junior moto.
Brett Foster's 4-7 motos earned him fourth overall in the MX-2 Junior class.
Dale Klassen's pair of seconds gave him second overall in Plus 40 B.
Picking up a second overall in Plus 25 was Mike Larter.
