Back again to Shadow Valley Raceway for the third time this year for the sixth and final round of the FXR Racing / Headingley Sport Shop Spring Series. This round was held on the Saturday leading up to the fourth round CMRC National tour which was held the following day. The track and pits were buzzing with activity with the pro rider's semis rolling in, the track lined with banners and with an end of a competitive Spring Series, a list of class champions were waiting to be crowned some great racing was in store.

However it was Kasen Andrushko who took top honours as the 50cc 7-8 series champion. Sam Wilman and Noah Jacobson rounded out the series podium.
Justin Stewart had a breakout ride in Morden when he took his first overall in the MX-2 Beginner class.
..But it was Radek Unrau who grabbed the Spring Series 65 7-9 title over Adam Wiebe and Ethan Spagrud.
The Morden track witnessed a few inches of rain in the week leading up to the races, the bottom part of the track got the worst of it where the low spots on the track were occupied by famous Manitoba muck.
Because the classes in which pro riders would race were non-points races on the Amateur day, Lindsay Masse finished up the Youth A championship at the last race. Masse took a Youth A spring series title home over Rio Stoesz and Marcus Giesbrecht.
Brendyn Heide had a great end to his series. Heide took an overall in the 85 12-16 class to go with the title he took home in the same class. Travis Klassen and Devon Wiebe rounded out the series podium.
The National weekends always bring a few of the country's top Intermediates along with the tour. British Columbia's Trae Franklin's 2-1 topped the 1-2 scores of Zach Deiana for the overall.
Mark Sexton has been turning heads all spring with his always improving speed. Sexton grabbed the MX-2 Intermediate spring title over Tylor Plett and Carson Wiebe.
Scott Giesbrecht didn't race the weekend but had enough of a points lead to take the MX-1 Junior title over Cole Lawrence and Corey Heide.
Nathan Williamson was the top dog in the series taking home a title in 65 10-11 action over Tye Beischer and Jimmy Kornelson.
Stephen Froese grabbed the overall on the day in the MX-1 Beginner class over Peter Abrams and Adam Orvis.
Another rider who didn't race today, Derek Klassen had enough of a points lead in the MX-1 Beginner class to claim the series championship.
Jamie Burmey is back from a few injuries and a recent trip to Texas. Burmey took a second overall behind Ami Houde in Morden.
Rio Stoesz was crowned spring series class champion in the MX-2 Pro class over Marcus Giesbrecht and Garrett Graboweski.
Caleb Van der Meer handily took the overall in the Youth B over the 125 of Brady Love and Jesse Dilazzaro.
Josh Penner may not have won the battle in the Youth B class on the day but he won the war. Penner took top honours as the Youth B series champion over Cole Jacobson and Brent Foote.
Isaac Gordon has been tearing up the 50cc 4-6 class all spring taking home a first overall trophy as well as the spring series championship in the same division.
Taking the series title in MX-1 Pro action was Coard Allard. Following Allard to the series podium was Lindsay Masse and Josh Penner.
Andre Peters earned a second place overall in the 85cc 7-11 class behind DJ Burmey and ahead of Nathan Williamson..
..But Jaxton Unrau was the one taking top honours for the title over Nathan Williamson and Adam Wiebe.
..While the Supermini series podium saw a reversal of positions where Travis Klassen was victor in the series over Cam Toole and Brian Klassen.
There were some cool half-time promo events going on including a pair of intermediate riders jumping over a sponsor's mascot!
Nova Scotia native Daniel Mcrae (524) has been around Manitoba for a few races this spring contesting in the MX-1 Intermediate and Youth A classes aboard a YZ250.

Are so cute, and cool!
Hope riders are educated about heat stroke.
It is great to leave everything you have on the track, but the recent tragedy in the States should hopefully be a learning experience.
