I made the trip down to Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California last weekend to shoot round five of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series. Brad Nauditt was injured at Oakland and didn't race at San Diego but was still at the race. He's now home in Spokane for a little bit but is going to race some of the East rounds in the 450 class.

Leading Edge Kawasaki's Matt Goerke scored a fill in ride on the BTO Sports/Butler Brothers Suzuki team, replacing the injured Michael Byrne. He finished 17th in the main event.

Kyle Beaton finally got the monkey off his back at San Diego, grabbing the LCQ win and making his first main event of the season.

Bobby Kiniry was another Canadian National competitor who scored a fill in ride for the SX season. Kiniry replaced Ryan Morais on the Rockstar/Star Racing/Valli Yamaha team and made the main event, finishing 14th.
