Who got you into the sport of Motocross?
Leland Jameson, Anna Jameson and Hayden Jameson got me into the sport of motocross. They used to be my neighbours so a huge thank you goes out to them for getting me into this sport and involving me with the Moto family.
Is there a female out there who you feel has paved the way for other girls to be successful in motocross?
Yes, I always look up to Hailey Johnson. I feel she has paved the way for all girls to be successful in this sport. I truly believe she motivates all girls to do their best and that this is not only a male sport.
As a racer, are there any obstacles you feel a female racer has to deal with that maybe a male racer does not?
Yes, I believe us women are so brave to get out there on the track and race with male riders. We work our butts off and pay thousands of dollars and don’t get the recognition male riders do.
Who is your favourite female rider and why?
I would have to say my favourite female rider is Eve Brodeur. She is one of the female riders that really inspires me to get better and learn from her riding style.
Who is your favourite male rider and why?
My favourite male rider is Tanner Ward. He truly encouragers everyone out there to do their best. He trained me a few times, so he’s someone I look up to a lot.
What is your favourite track?
My favourite track most definitely would be The 15 Practice Track. That’s the first track I’ve ever ridden and its 2 minutes from my house, so I really enjoy riding there.
Are you involved in any other sports or extracurricular activities?
No, not right now. A few years ago I did gymnastics. Right now I just go to the gym about 2-3 times a week to stay fit for Moto season.
What event do you look forward to most every year? One you don’t ever want to miss?
One thing I really look forward to and don’t ever want to miss would be the Triple Crown series. I met a lot of new people.
Who has been your biggest inspiration/hero on and off the track?
My biggest inspiration/hero on and off the track I would have to say are my parents and my sisters. They encourage me so much to be successful and they take the time to take me racing every weekend and enjoy what I love.
Did you achieve the goals you set for 2019?
Yes, 100%! The goals I set at the beginning of the year were definitely achieved by the end of this season.
What are your plans/goals for the 2020 race season?
My plans/goals for the 2020 race season I’d have to say are getting better at my starts, and doing the Indoor Arenacross. Other than that, I don’t have many plans set so far.
What is your biggest accomplishment to date?
My biggest accomplishment would be this past race season. I finished first overall in Ladies B in the AMO series.
What is the biggest lesson that motocross has taught you?
The biggest lesson that Motocross has taught me is to ride safe and have fun.
If you ever have children will you give them the option to race as well?
Yes. If I have children I’d give them the option to race, but I would 100% want them to.
Who would you like to thank?
I would like to thank my mom and dad, my sisters, Anna and Leland Jameson, The 15 Practice Track, Two Wheel Motorsports, Graeme Nelson, OG goggles.
I’m absolutely thankful for all you guys. I wouldn’t be where I am today without you.
