Photo Report | Loretta Lynn’s – Thursday

It was another full day of racing here at Loretta Lynn’s Dude Ranch in Hurricane Mills, TN. Racing starts at 7:30am and the final moto blasted of the line at around 6:30pm.

Lots of Canadians were back in action. Some had great days while others did what many before them have done — struggle to deal with the added pressure of racing the biggest race on the planet. It can really mess with a rider’s head.

Anyway, here’s a look at some racing from today, in the order they were run.

The always watchful eyes of the AMA.

That’s Race Tech’s Chris Riesenberg checking out the action from the Suzuki VIP scaffold.

Now say it again in the voice of Scooby Doo…

#74 Blake Davies gets the jump on #2 Drew Adams in the 65 (7-9) Ltd. 2nd moto. Blake finished 12th and has 22-12 motos heading into the final.

#25 Riley Clapp had a bad jump off the gate and finished back in 31st position. 19-31-

Drew Adams from down the road in Chattanooga is undefeated so far.

#17 Josh Bryan had a bad start but was making passes but fell on lap 3 and dropped a few spots. He sits 34-37 in Mini Sr. 2.

#46 Jazzmyn Canfield got out ahead of #30 Jordan Jarvis in Women’s 12+ but Jordan got by and is 1-1.

Ty Graham took a mechanical DNF in 250 C Ltd. moto 1 but took his bike over to Honda and they fixed him up for moto 2 today. He was forced to start way on the outside and made a bunch of early passes to finish 10th.

#33 Derek Drake is 1-1 in Open Pro Sport.

I headed over to the Rendall’s pit for a delicious sandwich and some light reading…

I would ride that.

Kyle Snelgrove visualizing a perfect start.

Unfortunately, #81 Nathan Snelgrove got off to a bad start. He was moving up but fell and finished back in 31st. He rode well though.

Cool dude Seth Dennis took the win.

#75 Ryder Snelgrove had a solid 2nd moto in the 50 (4-6) Special Ltd. class and took 17th. 13-17 heading into tomorrow.

Jim Scott doing some work in the pits.

I’ve been saying this for a few years, and it still stands today: Ty Masterpool is my favourite rider to watch race. The dude doesn’t know the meaning of quit. He took the 125 (12-17) win in an amazing moto.

#82 Sam Gaynor got a horrible jump in his 450 B Ltd. moto and tried to let everyone go to cut to the inside. It worked pretty well and then he forced his way up to 12th. He sits with 14-12 motos.

James Roberts and his gal didn’t get the reference here but does Nate Thrasher not look like Joel Goodson from Risky Business? That’s Tom Cruise for those who didn’t get the reference either…

River time!

#34 Zach Ufimzeff got out to a poor start in his Supermini 2 moto but moved up and looked much faster than his 24-25 motos indicate.

#36 Thomas Rendall was in the same moto and also got out to a bad start. He made some passes and finished 32nd.

#74 Mikael Savard looks pretty good heading into moto 3 in the 250 C Jr. Ltd. class with 3-5 motos.

#46 Tanner Scott had troubles mid-way through his 85 (9-12) moto and fell way back. He sits 20-41.

Ryder McNabb headed into moto 2 after taking 3rd place in the first. He crossed the line 7th in moto 2 and wasn’t thrilled.

#1 Hayden Deegan crushed the 65 (7-11) class.

#52 Ethan Mann took the win in the Schoolboy 1 moto today.

Check out #11 on the inside almost grabbing the holeshot in the 450 C moto…on his 125!

He rode well and was 2nd at the flag and is 7-2 heading into moto 3.

Mikael Savard is leading this class after his 1-5 motos. He was closing on the group ahead of him today but ran out of time.

Connor was pretty pumped.

Who HASn’t been here before? With that number, maybe he did it on purpose!

OK, time to get a few hours sleep and do it all again tomorrow. Good luck to everyone at the ECAN at Deschambault. See you at the races… (You can say that in a Scooby Doo voice, too, if you like)
