#TBT | Riding at The Allison’s | 2012
By Billy Rainford
For many years, the Allisons were staples around the Canadian Pro Motocross scene. In fact, their farm in Delburne, Alberta, was home to many riders and media types for the entire week between the Calgary and Edmonton rounds of the Canadian Nationals.
I remember back then wondering what would happen when this most generous family decided to hang up the boots and move on. Well, we’ve been forced to move forward in a post-Allison world, and, although we’ve been able to make the adjustment, the Canadian moto landscape just isn’t quite the same without them.
Back in 2012, we all gathered on their farm and had some of the best times you can have with a bunch of crazy moto heads from all corners of the continent. Lorri and Brent opened the doors and their hearts and treated us all like long-lost relatives.
Here’s the video we put together showcasing some of the riders who looked forward to this week every year.
Thanks, guys. You are missed at the races… And where’s my coffee???
