Welcome to Week #11 of the DMX Frid’Eh Update brought to you by Dirt Care. You aren’t going to believe this, but it’s snowing just about as hard as is possible right now as I look out the window of my office. Unbelievable! And to think Gopher Dunes was open just a couple days ago. Crazy. The grass is already completely covered again, but it’s supposed to be 12C on Sunday and Monday again. In like a lamb, out like a lion, as they say.

We have a week off from racing in the 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series this Saturday. When we come back to Birmingham, AL next week, it will be our first 250 East/West Showdown as well as an SMX Next round.

I mentioned Gopher Dunes being open a few days ago. I wanted to head over with the Yamaha 250 2-stroke to join a few local friends who were going, but I had a little bit of work to do to the bike and I didn’t get home until too late on Sunday to get any of it done.

It sounds like there are some big track changes going on over there and I really want to ride the new layout to see how it “flows.” Yes, that’s in quotation marks because my riding game has about zero flow these days. Maybe if they’re able to open on Sunday I’ll head over for a couple laps.

We’ve followed Noah and his dad, Ulf Viney, for a pretty long time. | Bigwave 2019 photo

Noah Viney is the rider who earned the #11 for the 2026 season in the Canadian Triple Crown Series Motocross Nationals. He’s originally from Ottawa, Ontario, but his family moved out to California when he was still on little bikes. They originally called northern California home but have since relocated to Motocross Mecca of Murrieta.

If you haven’t seen their place, check out Ulf Viney’s Instagram page.

Noah came up to race our series on the Honda Canada GDR Fox Racing team as their 250 rider. His best finishes were a couple 5th place overalls and he ended up 6th in the series.

Here’s a look at his 2025 Canadian season:

Since the end of our series at Walton Raceway, Noah has been on quite the adventure, racing the World Supercross Championship and now the SMX World Championship on the newly-formed ISRT Kawasaki racing team.

He’s currently racing the 250 East series and has yet to make a Main with 16th, DNS, and 19th in 3 rounds of LCQ’s.

Noah didn’t have a chance for an interview, so we’ll get it up as soon as he has some time in the the very near future.

Hannah Cole Signs with Honda Canada GDR Fox Racing

Hannah Cole Signs with Honda Canada GDR Fox Racing

From Honda Canada GDR Fox Racing:

It was a long time coming, but a new chapter starts now!

Please join us in welcoming #3 Hannah Cole to the Honda Canada GDR Fox Racing Team.

Across the world of sport, women are stepping up, breaking barriers, and proving that the future is faster than ever. Motocross is no exception. More women are lining up at the gate, pushing the pace, and showing exactly what they’re capable of – and riders like Hannah are helping lead that charge.

This young Canadian athlete brings the speed, grit and heart that define this sport. She’s been putting in the hours for years, and has more than earned this opportunity.

We’re proud to have her representing the program and can’t wait to see #3 line up, drop the gate, and show everyone what she’s capable of. While many incredible athletes before Hannah have paved the way we also want to thank the women behind the scenes who supported this move and are giving to gain!

Welcome to the team, Hannah!

WMX is an integral and growing division of the motocross world. While bringing on a female racer has always been on my agenda, it was really my partner, Stacie, who pushed me to make the move and I’m grateful for that. WMX class needs more support—more support from the Factory/OEM teams—to continue to grow and thrive. I want to challenge other Factory and OEM teams to follow suit.
• Derek Schuster

Excited to start this next chapter with the Honda Canada GDR Fox Racing Team. It’s not lost on me that I am the first WMX rider under the Honda Canada Factory tent. I’m grateful for the opportunity and motivated to see what we can accomplish together this year. “

Tyler Medaglia Racing J Day at Club MX this Weekend

Tyler Medaglia will be back on the line this weekend for Round 2 of the J Day series at Club MX. The first round at Bostwick was a rough one for the Valley Callus Yamaha rider as he crashed, hit a rider, and had to struggle with a badly bent-up motorcycle.

The racing on Sunday will be broadcast on Racer TV, so you can watch it all as it goes down. It will be a motocrosser-friendly track, so Tyler should be in his element even more than usual.

One More Day left at the Spring A Ding at Oak Hill

There’s one more day of racing left at the 2026 Spring-A-Ding at Oak Hill Raceway in Decatur, TX. You can watch it all live on Racer TV.

All previous 5 days of racing can be found on YouTube in their entirety.

Live timing link HERE.

When I was just down in Florida, just about everyone there had a bad cold; the media center sounded like an emergency department! I had a bit of a runny nose but that was it. Well, today it has hit me and I’m not feeling good at all. I know, cry me a river, but I was just saying that I haven’t been sick in like 2 years and BAM!

Have a great weekend, everyone. Even without Supercross this week, there’s still moto to be watched live if you look!
