Kyle Regal Ineligible to Race MX2 in Canada?

DMX Staff

We have learned that due to Texas native Kyle Regal‘s overall point standings in the AMA outdoor series – namely, 2009/2010 where he placed 16th and 9th respectively in the 450 class – he will be ineligible to race MX2 here in Canada.

As of this post, the CMRC and Husqvarna Canada are recently aware of this. Stay tuned to see what the team decides to do this coming weekend at Gopher Dunes and for the remaining 6 rounds of Rockstar Energy MX Nationals.

The CMRC Rule is as follows:

MX2 Open to all CMRC Pros and Intermediates (except former Canadian National Champions within the past five years), AMA A and B ranked riders. Riders that finished in the top 20 overall at the AMA Outdoor Nationals (250 and 450) or FIM GPs (MXGP/MX2/MX3), or top 10 overall in the AMA Supercross (450) class will not be eligible to compete in the MX2 Pro/Am class.
