#TBT Dusty Klatt|Walton National 2007

By Billy Rainford

#1 in 2007 was Campbell River, BC’s Dusty Klatt. It was the year Dusty headed south and rode for the Star Racing Yamaha team in Supercross and Motocross. He showed up to race Walton with his #1 plate from the year before on a Blackfoot Red Bull Yamaha 450. He looked extremely fast in practice but then a crash into a fence sent him off to get checked out at the hospital. Here are just a couple photos from that final round of the CMRC Pro Motocross Nationals at Walton Raceway.

Dusty retired as a 4-time Canadian motocross champion: 2004 125 West champ, 2005 MX2 champ, 2006 Mx1 champ, and 2010 MX1 champ.

I figure he had the speed to win that day, but we’ll never know. ~ Bigwave photo
