All-New SCR950 blends vintage style with
modern day technology.

June 8, 2016 (Toronto, ON) –Yamaha is not slowing down with new motorcycle releases for 2017. Earlier this year, the head-turning FZ-10 was launched to widespread acclaim. Now, Yamaha bolsters the 2017 lineup with the all-new rugged SCR950 which blurs the lines between past and present.

Fitted with a flangeless teardrop tank, retro inspired graphics with matching number plates, wide handlebars with crossbar, and block pattern tires mounted on lightweight aluminum spoked wheels, the SCR950 takes visual cues from Yamaha’s past to give it that distinct scrambler character.

Powering the SCR950 is Yamaha’s reliable 942 cc, air-cooled, 4-valves per cylinder, 60° V-twin engine which produces excellent torque and power delivery across a wide RPM range.

Along with the SCR950, Yamaha announces numerous other 2017 models for both on-road and off-road including the industry leading YZ lineup. Multiple models have significant updates such as the YZ250F and YZ250FX, which get a new cylinder head, revised intake and exhaust port shapes, revised intake and exhaust camshafts and valve springs, and more.

Whether you Conquer Road or Conquer Dirt, Yamaha’s 2017 motorcycle lineup has you covered.
