It was great to hang out over at Gopher Dunes in Courtland, Ontario, for another Honda Canada GDR Fox Racing team introduction. As always, Derek Schuster and the crew provided us with professional day full of information, food, and riding. Here’s a look at the day through the lens of my camera.
They had the team looking good with their matching outfits right down to the red Converse Chuck Taylor high tops. Dylan Wright spearheaded the letterman jacket idea.Ryan Lockhart returns as the team’s General Manager. 19-year-old Ryder McNabb returns as a 2-time Canadian 250 champion.Matt Bannon is back as the Logistics Manager. Actually, I have no idea what Bannon does. Scott Tokley is an MRC Official and made sure none of us jumped on a red flag.Ryan Gauld took on the MC duties and looks very suspicious of why Brad McLead was there. Brad, of course, is with Matrix Concepts/Atlas Brace out of BC.Some familiar east coast faces, like Corey’s here, are back with the group to have it running like clockwork, bye. James Lissimore had to be more than a little distracted because he and Claudie are literally on the verge of welcoming there first child into the world.Derek getting his turn in front of the microphone to talk about everything that is new with the team.Gopher Dunes’ patriarch, Frank Schuster, talking to us all and letting us know that Dylan Wright is his all-time favourite rider. Also, of all the #1 bikes he’s got there in his collection, Dylan’s #109 MXON/MXGP bike is his favourite.Larry Lamanna from Honda Canada was there to show his continued support of the program. Hmm, I wish Honda would support OUR program a little!Dylan Wright always has fun when he gets the mic. He didn’t tell us who his favourite Schuster was though.James doing his team photo work. I always lurk in the background for these. The riders played around a short while in their outfits before getting changed to his the main track.Dylan getting some instruction from James. Probably about wheelies or something.Ryder was ready to spin some fast laps.
Here are a few riding pics to end this off:
Nothing left to do but line up for Round 1 in a couple weeks. “See you at the races...”
