Spy Photos: Jimmy Decotis Testing at Sand Del Lee

By Billy Rainford

Direct Motocross has gotten its hands on a few spy photos taken today of Canada’s Motorcycle FXR Yamaha’s newest MX2 rider, #105 Jimmy Decotis. The New England rider from Peabody, Massachusetts, is listed as 5’5″ and 150lbs but is famous for his corner speed and his ability to throw a motocross bike around like there’s no tomorrow.

He will be an exciting and welcome addition to the Rockstar Energy MX National scene this summer and is sure to be in the hunt for wins and the MX2 title as 2nd-year-pro #20 Dylan Wright’s Yamaha YZ 250F teammate.

Check out these shots of ‘Jimmy D’ shaking down his new ride at the home of the Ottawa National, MX101/Sand Del Lee:

We’re told Jimmy loves the way he can move around on the Yamaha and also the terrain at MX101  – home of round 6 of the Rockstar Energy MX Nationals. – Spy photo

When we spoke with him in New Jersey, he was excited for this opportunity to race all across Canada for the Canada’s Motorcycle FXR Yamaha team based just outside the Nation’s Capital, Ottawa. – Spy photo

Tyler Spikman was at Sand Del Lee earlier this week to do the team photos and we can’t wait to see his shots as Jimmy Decotis and Dylan Wright are two of the most talented scrubbers in the business! – Spy photo

It will be interesting to see where Jimmy Decotis is able to fit in the ultra-competitive MX2 class this summer. We’ll know in just over two weeks now!
