Mitchell Harrison is career #8 in Canada. | Bigwave 2024 photo
It was Week #8 for the DMX Frid’Eh Update last Friday, but we weren’t able to connect with Mitchell Harrison with our busy schedules the past several days. However, we were able to get in touch this week to get caught up on what had to have been the busiest, most well-travelled year of his racing career; he was everywhere!
Mitchell came up through the ranks as a high sought-after rider and has found a home with the Canadian owned Partzilla PRMX Kawasaki team. Here’s what the friendly rider from Michigan who calls Florida home had to say.
Here’s what Mitchell had to say this week. | Bigwave screen grab
Direct Motocross: Hello, Mitchell. I haven’t seen you in quite a while and you’ve been going pretty much non-stop since then! Let’s have you sum up a couple things you’ve done. You ended up 20th overall in Monster Energy AMA Supercross in 2025 with a 16th places. Were you happy with that?
Mitchell Harrison: I was very happy with 20th overall, I think that it’s a great accomplishment in the 450 class.
And then you went straight into Pro Motocross where you ended the season with a couple 10th place motos and 16th overall in the series. Can you sum the summer up for us?
The summer started out rough the first couple rounds, I don’t think I scored points the first 3 motos. Then the team and I started to pick it up at round High Point and was getting some good moto finishes riding well. Washougal was really where I turned it around started riding pretty elite and got some top 10’s.
And the goal is, of course, to get to the SMX Playoffs where the money is to be made. You ended up 21st in that. How was the money for you and were you happy with your rides?
The Playoffs where rough. I crashed at Charlotte pretty hard. St. Louis went ok, and Vegas just some bike issues. I think i could of done better than 21st.
I first met Mitchell in Los Angeles in 2017 when he rode for the Rockstar Husqvarna team. | Bigwave photo
And then you started touring the world, starting with the Australian Supercross series on a Yamaha. You ended up 7th in that series. Again, can you sum that series up for us?
Such a great experience on CDR, loved the bike and team. Tracks where so weird for me, very dry and tight. I struggled over there, had plenty of speed for podiums but bad starts and crashes prevented a lot of good rides. Definitely wasn’t happy with the overall finish.
Were you able to do any sight-seeing? Did you see any crazy animals or things like that?
Did a little sight seeing. Where we where in Tourqey was super nice on the beach. And yes there was plenty of kangaroos. Haha. Also saw some Penguins.

Then you were off to Germany where you finished 4-6. Happy with that one?
Wasn’t extremely happy with it. I was riding well, but again starts all off season sucked.
Next it was France for the Paris Supercross where you were 7th. Since we’re summing up your racing since we saw you last, how was that one?
Loved Paris SX, such a fun event. I rode really well, and the Bud bike was great. The whoops there where massive and super fun to hit, surprisingly.
How would you rank those pretty amazing experiences and why?
I think Australia was the most unique experience because I’ve always wanted to go and CDR was such a fun experience. Germany and Paris are pretty similar, both the crowds are amazing, love the atmosphere. And I get to holiday a little in Europe in between.

Then you were back in Florida training with your Partzilla PRMX Kawasaki team. This group must feel like family to you now! What are your living arrangements and how is it all going for you with French-Canadian Julien Perrier and the crew?
My wife and I Bought a house in Auburndale, FL. So very close to the team and Jack Chambers‘ track. Yes, definitely feels like a family atmosphere, it’s the longest I’ve been on one team and I love it. The french Canadian isn’t soooo bad. Haha. I try to speak a little french.
Oh, how’s your golf game coming along these days?
Awful. Honestly, haven’t played in 3 months. I don’t know, I think I just got blown out with all the travel and riding. Would rather rest.
What have you replaced Tim Hortons and Heidi’s Bakery with for breakfast these days?
Well, I’ve been trying to hassle Tyler (Medaglia) and Heidi (Cooke) about bringing me baked goods. It hasn’t been working. So unfortunately I have to eat healthy.
How did that Maisy Kay sponsorship come up for the Phoenix round of Supercross?
I believe Maisy Kay and Roket have something to do together. Anyways, it was pretty cool and I checked out her music and it’s pretty good!
He just had a season’s best 16th in Arlington and sits 20th in points. | Bigwave photo
You just finished 16th in Arlington for your best finish so far this SX season. How has it been going for you so far?
It’s been a grind, gnarly class. I have been to 6 LCQ’s and fortunately made them all, but always want to be better and battle more forward.
OK, last one. Will we ever see you racing up here in Canada again?
Yes, you will.
Thanks for taking this time to let us all know what you’ve been up to since we last saw you. That was a lot of questions I fired at you. See you in Daytona. Who would you like to thank?
PRMX, Roket, Blaster Power, Partzilla, and the many more that help me out.
Good luck at Daytona, Mitchell. | Bigwave 2015 photo
