How did you get started in racing?
When I was 3 I was at the local grocery store and saw my first moto magazine. For Christmas that year I got a moto magazine and in that instance I was hooked. When I turned 8 I finally got my first bike – a PW80 – and have not looked back since. My first race was when I was 9 at the season-ender at Sand Del Lee. I was on a KTM 65cc and did OK. The next year I moved up to an 85cc and raced my first full season.

What is your favourite track and why?

My favourite track is definitely Sand Del Lee. It is my home track and I spend a lot of time riding there over the summer. I really enjoy riding sand. As well, I like Kennelly Mountain, a new track in Calabogie. The track gets really rough, is technical, flows very well and it is always a blast to ride with all of the elevation changes.

"My biggest accomplishment so far has to be getting 3rd in the final moto of MX1 Junior at Walton TransCan in 2015. I had a roller coaster of a week and just did not ride my best, but to cap it off with a 3rd place finish was good." - Bigwave photo

Who is your favourite rider and why?
I am a big fan of Christian Craig, he looks so smooth and effortless when her rides. Also, he is always smiling no matter where he finishes and he works hard. I also like Ryan Dungey because he is such a hard worker and never gives up.

What Canadian Pro do you look up to and why?
I look up to the Medaglia brothers. When I first started going to Sand Del Lee Jeremy and Tyler were always there riding. When they were at the track I think that I spent more time watching them ride than riding myself. I have had a chance to meet both of them and ride on Jeremy’s home track in Kemptville.

“My goals for 2016 are to ride my absolute best every time I am on the track. I would really like to finish top 5 at Walton in all the Intermediate classes and maybe score some Pro points this year.” – Bigwave photo

Who is your hero?
My heroes are my parents. They work so hard to give me the best they can for me to go racing and pursue my dream. I don’t know where I would be without them.

What are your goals for this season, and what is it going to take to reach them?

My goals for 2016 are to ride my absolute best every time I am on the track. I would really like to finish top 5 at Walton in all the Intermediate classes and maybe score some Pro points this year.

What are your biggest accomplishments?
My biggest accomplishment so far has to be getting 3rd in the final moto of MX1 Junior at Walton TransCan in 2015. I had a roller coaster of a week and just did not ride my best, but to cap it off with a 3rd place finish was good. I also got 4th overall in MX3 Junior at Walton.
What is your favourite part about going to the races?
My favourite part of going to the races is hanging out with everyone as well as seeing all of your hard work pay off when you do well.

What do you like to do when you aren’t racing?
When I am not racing I like road biking. I don’t like to do much other than moto so that’s pretty much all I do. I golf and ski a little.

Who would you like to thank?

Huge thanks to my mom and dad for getting me to the races, Tyler Duffy for teaching so much over the past three years, Kevin and Johnny at MX101, Mulder’s Welding, Dunlop, Ron’s Service Shop, 100%, Mobius, Atlas and FXR.
