Frid’Eh Update #10 Presented by the Toronto SX

Frid’Eh Update #10 Presented by the Toronto SX By Jeff McConkey and Billy Rainford Welcome to the biggest (arguably) weekend on the Canadian motocross/supercross calendar. After being absent from the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series schedule in 2015, the event has returned to Toronto. More on that later… Week #10 goes out to a rider who became as big a part of the fabric of our Rockstar MX Nationals as

Faces at the Races: Daytona SX

Faces at the Races: Daytona SX By Billy Rainford Photos by Billy Rainford and Brendan Goldstein The Daytona SX has come and gone and we were there to check it out in person. There is a pretty good chance we were treated to the best 2-main evening we’ve seen in a very long time. With 4 riders going for the win in the 250 main and Eli Tomac and Ryan

McThoughts: 450 SX Round 2 – Daytona

McThoughts: 450 SX Round 2 – Daytona By Jeff McConkey Photos by Billy Rainford It wasn’t the best Daytona track, but the racing was still pretty good. Many people were complaining about the design, but they all had to race the same track. Eli Tomac picked up his first win since having double shoulder surgery in the off-season and switching teams. He looked very good, but I still don’t think

McThoughts: 250 East SX Round 2 – Daytona

McThoughts: 250 East Round 2 – Daytona By Jeff McConkey Photos by Billy Rainford Daytona went off this past Saturday night. The track wasn’t great and kind of looked like a game of follow the leader, but that didn’t stop the top 4 guys from putting on a great race. I, honestly, don’t think I’ve ever seen the top 4 that close for the entire race, especially at Daytona. 250

Poll Results – Who Will Win Round 1 of the 250 East SX in Atlanta? Well, the results are in and it looks like 9% of you were reaching through your computer screens and yelling “#49 Martin Davalos!” Martin won the event and we didn’t have him as a poll option. Oops. Anyway, here are the results, shown as a percentage of votes. Thanks for playing along and we’ll fire

McThoughts: 450 Supercross – Atlanta

McThoughts: 450 Supercross – Atlanta By Jeff McConkey On Saturday night, the action headed East. East to Atlanta, Georgia. The traditional red clay rutted up and made a not-so-tricky track technical.  The crew added a sand section that was difficult to navigate for all. There’s something about heading East that spruces certain riders up. The 450 main event had solid action throughout the pack and was fun to watch. Marvin

McThoughts: 250 East Round 1 – Atlanta

McThoughts: 250 East Round 1 – Atlanta By Jeff McConkey Round 1 of the 2016 250 East Coast SX series went off on Saturday night in Atlanta, Georgia. The track looked good, but I was honestly expecting bigger whoops. I feel the East may be a little bit more stacked this season compared to the West. Top 10’s aren’t going to be easy with all of this talent. Let’s take

Photos from Atlanta SX | A Slightly Different Look

Photos from Atlanta SX | A Slightly Different Look By Billy Rainford Photos by Jeff McConkey and Bigwave After leaving Atlanta Sunday morning after Round 8 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series, I headed south to GPF where a bunch of Canadians are calling home. What that meant for me was that I didn’t really have any time to go through my photos from the races and am just
