Frid’Eh Update #8 | Mitchell Harrison | Brought to You by Dirt Care
By Billy Rainford

Welcome to Week #8 of the DMX Frid’Eh Update brought to you by Dirt Care. We’re in the middle of a big melt here in London. We went from -20C last week to +6C this week. We can actually see some grass and the snowbanks are almost gone in certain areas. The only problem with this weather is that it’s made a complete mess of the many dog parks across the city. No, Olive doesn’t mind, but returning home is a bi of a nightmare.
I’ve been going a little stir crazy not being at a race or an event in such a long time. That is about to change in a big way.

I’ll head over to the Toronto Motorcycle Show on Saturday at the Enercare Centre in downtown Toronto. I see that the Honda Canada GDR Fox Racing team and the MX101 FXR Yamaha team will have their rigs set up, so those areas will be my first stops. I haven’t spoken to Dylan Wright in a while so it will be great to see how he’s been doing and how charged up he is for this upcoming season to exorcize the demons of 2024 and 2025.
On Monday, it will be time to hit the I-75 South for the first big trip into the USA with the new #DMXDirtCareVan. The hope is to be able to stop a couple times to do some mountain biking along the way, but it’s been so brutal here that I haven’t been on a real bike in way too long. We’ll see how that part of the trip goes.
The first stop will be the Moto Money race at Pax Trax in Bunnell, Florida, near Palm Coast. I’ve been to this race a couple times and CJ Harris and the gang there are really trying to turn it into a money-maker for the riders, so hopefully a bunch of upper level riders show up this year.

It was here a couple years ago where I saw just how fast and comfortable Sebastien Racine is on 450. After seeing that, I’m really looking forward to his addition to the 450 class this summer on the SSR Canadian Kawasaki team.
The past couple years, the conversation has revolved around just 2 riders, Dylan Wright and Jess Pettis (no offence to the other top riders). With Seb and Ryder McNabb joining Tanner Ward and the rest of our fast guys, we should have more riders to talk about going for wins in 2026…I hope.
After this race, all eyes will head south to Daytona International Speedway and all of the racing action taking place there.
Daytona Supercross on Saturday, GNCC Racing Round 2 in Palatka on Sunday, and then the RCSX finals on Monday. It would have been nice to add the final round of the FIM North American Arenacross Championship on Friday, too, but that one has been cancelled and the championship will be handed out tonight at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
By the way, yes, I’m also keeping one eye and both ears on the TV as Canada is playing Finland in Olympic hockey.
*** That was a nail-biter but Team Canada got it done and heads to the Gold Medal game on Sunday. ***

Mitchell Harrison still holds career #8 up here in Canada. We didn’t see him in the Canadian Triple Crown Series Motocross Nationals in 2024 but he is still #8.

He’s been super-busy this past calendar year and could be found racing all across the globe. Since we haven’t seen him in a while, we asked him to recap his season and talk about how things are going on the Canadian-owned team, Partzilla PRMX Blaster Kawasaki.
We’ll get our interview with Mitchell up in the next little while. Sorry about that.
#247 Tegan Kortenbach Lining Up at RCSX in Daytona

With Al Strickert roaming his way around Florida again, he’s been bumping into Canadians in the Sunshine State and feeding us information, photos, and video.
Most recently, he’s been spending some time with 17-year-old #247 Tegan Kortenbach from Wolf Creek, AB and his dad at Future MX. Tegan will be racing the RCSX at Daytona International Speedway in 250 B, 450 B, and Schoolboy 2.
Who else will we see on Sunday and Monday following the Daytona Supercross?
Spy Footage of Sebastien Racine in Florida
Just kidding. Sylvain Brodeur is down in Florida with his Team VRP athlete, Katrine Ferguson, getting her ready to defend her WMX West title in 2026. He sent over this little video clip of Sebastien Racine getting back on the bike down in Okeechobee.
I’m told he won’t be lining up on Wednesday at Pax Trax simply because he just got down south and hasn’t been on the bike much yet.
And here’s Sylvain with Katrine between motos.

Final Round of Iron Horse Arenacross this Weekend
Blake Davies will be looking to close out his 3rd Iron Horse Arenacross title in a row when he hits the track in Rimbey, Alberta, on Friday and Saturday.

Good luck to everyone.

Here’s some fun as you’re driving around south of the border the next couple weeks. If you see the #DMXDirtCareVan somewhere, snap a photo and post it up on your Instagram page with @dirtcare_moto or @dirtcare_bike tagged.
We’re going to start off by offering the first 5 posts with a free bottle of either Dirt Wash or Cyclean, depending on whether you want it for Moto or for Cycling.
Keep an eye out. We’re hitting the road Monday!
