Who/what inspired you to get onto a dirtbike and how long have you been racing/riding?

I started on an e2 when I was 4 years old in the Tykes class at AMO! I was always at the track because my dad and brother raced so I wanted to try too!

When not on a dirt bike how do you keep yourself busy? Are you involved in any other sports or extracurricular activities?

In the winter I do gymnastics and acro dance, and in the spring I play ball hockey! When at the track I can be found doing cartwheels and playing in whatever sand I can find when it’s not my time to hit the gate!

Emberly just raced at the ECAN at MX Deschambault. | Family photo

Who is your all-time favourite rider and why?

Ryan Mott, because he has been working really hard and now he’s racing 250 Pro.

What was your first race number and how did you choose it?

I first picked 629 because my brother was 629. My birthday is the 6th, my brother is the 9th and there is 2 of us, my dad’s birthday is the 29th – it also was our first home address. Once we started falling into the same classes I had to change so now my number is his backwards.

What is your favourite track and why?

Sand Del Lee. We live 20 minutes from there so I get to ride it often. I also have a track in my backyard and it’s my second favourite!

What event do you look forward to most every year? What’s one you don’t ever want to miss?

All of them! Getting to hang out with my friends all the time and race my dirt bike is always something I never want to miss out on!

Good luck in the future, Emberly. Thanks for talking with us. | Addison Fleming photo

From your first ride to where you are now what is something you never thought you would be able to overcome but have?

I used to let the gate drop and then wait for everyone to go, now I let the gate drop and pin it!

Who would you like to thank?

My mom & dad for supporting me, my brother for giving me all the tips, Ryan Mott for helping my dad teach me to ride & 223 Motorsports.
