Faces at the Races | 2025 Walton MX National

Brought to you by Callus

Let’s have a look at some ‘Faces at the Races‘ from the final round of the 2025 Canadian Triple Crown Series Motocross Nationals at Walton Raceway.

Katrine Ferguson says she’s ready to get this party started, unless anyone else has something to say?
Oh wait, yes, Zach Ufimzeff would like to get a few words in first. Never mind, he just wants us to get going. I’ll add these shots to my collection of other just like it…
Some say he’s still standing there.
I’ll do a TransCan ‘Faces at the Races’ on its own, but this Kirby Family shot was too nice to leave out.
My favourite part of the week was when Donk stopped and we did an interview while his “race” was still going on. Here he is giving the signal we all know the meaning of.
The Priority MX team got the press they were hoping for when Colton Facciotti pretended he was going to line up for the motos on Sunday. He did qualifying and then opened the cooler.
At this point, Dylan Wright was probably pretty sure he was headed for a 1-1 day to close out the season on a high note…
I don’t actually know who these two fellers are, but here they are at the riders meeting.
Sorry to include a blurry photo, but when Parker Eales pointed out that their combined height nearly 13 feet, I wanted to get it in here.
Kids today. Am I right, people?!
You can stop now, Liam. We know what’s going on.
Lost in all the 450 moto 2 chaos and title chase was Sam Gaynor racing his final round of the series as a full season competitor.
That was just a backfire, Joe Tait. No need to raise your hands.
I went by your pits after the races, Nathan Germain, but you guys had already packed up and left! I’ll give the Dirt Care tent a great home though.
It was good to get to know Kyle Murdoch and his dad this summer. They were a great addition to the series and I bet we see them again in 2026. He joined us for Round 4 at Gopher Dunes and finished 11th.
#550 is Kaes Knights. He’s got an over-abundance of plurals in his name. His best finish was at Ste Julie where he was 20th.
That’s some pretty accurate foreshadowing there Liam Dodds. He suffered a DNF in moto 1 but came back with a 9th to salvage 14th and 13th for the series.
Man, it was great to see Ryder McNabb back on the track but a hard crash in moto 1 took him out for the day after hitting his head. This sport, I tell ya.
Corentin Dietz didn’t finish off the season like he would have wanted but he was still 22nd on the season.
That’s one of the 120’s out there, Alex Tremblay. His dad, David Tremblay, raced the TransCan during the week. Alex anded up 19th on the day. His moustache was 18th.
Ryder Malinoski had a solid day and went 3-3 for 3rd to end the season. Him and his dad, Robbie, were also a great addition to our series, but he hopes to stay south in the future.
Preston Kilroy didn’t even have to race Sunday, let alone fight for wins! He clinched the title last round in Deschambault.
Thanks, Callus.
I didn’t get to know Max Sanford from Maryland at all this summer. The days are just too jam-packed with racing! He was 8th (11-7).
And out old friend Josh Clark was back in action on his 250 2-stroke. He was 14th in moto 1 but something happened to knock him out of moto 2.
Striking with all kinds of weird number plates.
Wyatt Kerr tried to give it a shot but he was in too much pain after a mid-week crash. He didn’t even get to join us at the front of the Ride with Me cycle to enjoy the shenanigans!
The stars aligned for this multi-generational Viney shot. Actually, I don’t actually know what Cheryl’s maiden name is.
Nice final round W for Al Dyck and his Triumph racing team. #3 Kaylie Kayer broke the streak of Jamie Astudillo who hadn’t dropped a moto all season.
You guys need a hand? Too bad. Somebody has to document this stuff!
I told them they were too far away and on the riders’ throttle side! Oh well, they still got a few high fives.
It’s great to see Paul Mason back at the races and on the track. Both he and his daughter raced the TransCan during the week. Just don’t cross the border with him…
These two were wheel-to-wheel in both WMX motos. Kaylie won the battle but Jamie won the war.
Happy Kayers.
Happy Astudillo.
Don’t bother watching the remake. Did I mention my buddy was Bob Barker’s caddy in the first one?
You go, girls! Are we still saying that?
Is Brandy McLarty the most improved WMX rider of 2025?
Gutsy performance by Katrine Ferguson. She’s fresh off collarbone surgery.
I think Matt Deroy is trying to get his bike back?
Little Stephen B-Rad!
Liam was on-site doing his TV interviews.
That’s #5 Zachary Phifer who won Most Improved at the TransCan awards. PS We lost connection during the live broadcast, so we couldn’t even show the Fox Bronze Boot winner!
Tyler Kirby took the win (3-1) at the final round of FXR Premix East.
I went into the MX101 pits after moto 1 to find out what happened to Sebastien Racine’s bike. Alan Brown sent someone into the trailer to bring out the guilty spark plug. It never ends…
FXR’s Milt Reimer getting a bird’s eye view of the action.
DNF in 450 moto 1 was followed up by a very impressive 5th in moto 2 for Crayden Dillon.
The one and only Ryan Hughes made an appearance to cheer on Noah Viney. I asked him how he got across the border and he said there may have been a rubber glove involved…
This was a rough way to see #8 Téa Ferguson leave Walton, but I can report she’s doing well and is already on her way back to Manitoba.
Phil Nicoletti will be the first to admit he wasn’t the first or second fastest rider this season, but you have to be in it to win it! I rhymed “it” with “it” just like Bryan Adams would.
FXR’s Andy White has been a supporter of Phil’s for a long time. He finally got something for it! 🤣
Sing ‘Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto.’ Gone! I didn’t say Simon says!
When all the dust had settled in the 2nd 450 moto, Josh Boaz found himself up in 2nd place, but his shirt fell off on the way up the stairs.
Jess Pettis Fan Club president and treasurer.
Winning the 450 class and getting the Walton Sword has got to be one of the coolest trophies in Pro Sports.
There were laps on Sunday where Tanner Ward was the 450 champion. It was crazy. His crash was gnarly and it was great that he was able to get up.
These three were looking to get crazy Sunday night. I told them they were just born too late.
All this just to win “a stupid piece of plastic.” Winning the title hit Phil right in the feelings, so we’ll let him send this one off into the sunset: “See you at the races...”
