How did you get started in racing?

As a child, I was always out in the garage helping my dad work on his projects and one happened to be a Honda z50. After I outgrew the little 50, the bikes kept coming. Friends of my dad had kids that were into racing motocross. I wanted to try it out for myself and here we are.
As a little girl, did you ever expect to be this deep into a sport like motocross?

No. When I was younger one of my favourite thing to do was play with my Strawberry Shortcake dolls. I never liked getting my hands dirty so it’s hard to imagine that the thing I like most involves playing in the sand all day.

Do you think motocross is harder for a female to compete in?

I do think it is harder for a female to compete in motocross. There is much less competition in the ladies classes.

Who is your favourite rider and why?

My favourite rider is probably Ryan Dungey. He has been extremely successful in the sport and he makes it look so easy.

Is there one lady racer out there that you think has paved the way for other girls to be successful in the sport?

I think Ashely Fiolek has been an inspiration to many people, not only girls that race. She has overcome so many obstacles and I personally look up to her as a role model.

What Canadian Pro do you look up to and why?

I look up to Colton Facciotti because of his passion for the sport and also because of his determination to be the best he can be on and off the track.

What is your favourite track and why?

My favourite track is Sand Del Lee, it’s about 15 minutes from my house and and the conditions are always great. I try and ride there as often as I can.

Who is your hero?

My hero is probably my dad. He’s always there for me and he gives great speeches when I’m on the line.

What were your goals for this season?

My goals for this season were to compete in the Ironman Series and to race all the rounds.

What are your biggest accomplishments?

I think my biggest accomplishment is racing this entire season.

What is your favourite part about going to the races?

My favourite part about going to the races has to be hanging out with everyone and just having a good time cheering on friends and family.

What do you like to do when you aren’t racing?

When I’m not racing, I’m at school, working or hanging out with friends.

Is it important to have a motocross racer as a boyfriend/partner, or just a bonus?

I think it shouldn’t make a difference but it would be fun to have some friendly competition.

If you ever have children, will they be motocross racers?

My children would have to decide for themselves if they will race but if they want to I will support them 100%.

Who do you want to thank?

I want to thank my mom, dad, and my brother Carter for standing behind me no matter what and always cheering me on. Especially my parents for being the financial backing for my racing.
