Welcome to the New Face of Direct Motocross!

Welcome to the New Face of Direct Motocross!

Hello, and welcome to the all-new Direct Motocross site. January 2015 marks the 6-year anniversary of DMX and, with that, we thought it appropriate to launch this newly-designed and revamped site today.

We know from watching other sites go through changes that these things are never taken lightly or without forethought, so although we wanted a few major changes behind the scenes, we were leery to make the DMX experience too different from before.

Having said that, you will notice it has been completely changed but that the menu is easier to navigate. The site will continue to have its usual tabs and sections but with vastly improved technical features to be utilized on the ‘back end’ of it.

We appreciate your commitment to the site and look forward to taking it onward and upward in the future!

From the Direct Motocross Staff:

Dawn McClintock
Out with the old and in with the new, as they say. Take time and nose through our new shiny site here and send us your thoughts on what you think of the new look. I would personally like to thank all of our readers and sponsors over the years for their support and contributions that have got us to this point.

Also, big shout out to our buddy Jas, who is not only a fellow moto guy, guitar fixer-upper, guitar player, diaper changer, but one heck of a web designer! Happy New Year to all of our moto peeps out there and let the silly season begin! Hope to see some of you at the bike show in Toronto this weekend. Cheers, Dawn

Jeff McConkey
Hey guys. For myself, I could not be more excited for DMX and the launch of our new site. Being a part of the DMX team has introduced me to so many new friends, whether it be industry folk, fans, or racers and their families. I have also been very fortunate to experience some fantastic stories, products and locations, and I can honestly say that I am really excited about the site.

It’s not often you can say that you work for and are a part of your favourite motocross site on the web. I’d like to thank Billy, Kyle and Dawn for being great teammates, and I can’t wait to get 2015 started with them!

Kyle Carruthers
Just like my fellow teammates said, there are a lot of people we need to thank for helping make this new site possible. Between Marty helping us with the turnover to Jas and his Amplified Creative team stepping up, there were a lot of people in place that made this possible. Believe it or not, but DMX has been rocking hard for 6 years now. From coast to coast tracks, forests, and stadiums across the world, DMX has made an impact on the moto industry worldwide and we only have our readers and sponsors to thank for that. The best part is the next six years are only going to be better than the last six! Until next time, keep your hand on the throttle and never give up! Happy New Year from everyone at DMX!

Billy Rainford
I’d like to take the time to personally thank Kyle Carruthers for putting his trust in me over the past several years. He let me take my passion for the sport and put it to use in an amazing opportunity. Kyle will continue working with DMX on all kinds of projects both in front of and behind the scenes.

I’d like to thank Martin Anderson-Clutz at Tooth and Nail for all his work since the site’s inception. He has been the ‘guy behind the scenes’ when and if things went wrong with anything technical. We thank him for putting up with our non-technical knowledge and enduring what must have seemed like elementary questions.

We’d like to welcome Jas Romain and Amplified Creative to the fold as our new ‘tech firm.’ Jas put in countless hours at his computer to get this project off the ground.

Dawn McClintock will continue as our creative designer and, as always, head sandwich maker. We couldn’t do the things we do around here without her help and guidance.

Jeff McConkey has become a welcomed breath of fresh air at the site. He has seen most sides of the sport and his opinions are always interesting and insightful. Watch for more weekly columns from him in the future.

Thanks also to Mitch Goheen from Just Giver Productions for being our video guy last season. Hopefully, we’ll see lots more from this up-and-coming rider/videographer in the future.

Finally, I’d like to personally thank all or our advertising partners for their continued support. Without them, none of this would be possible. This is an advertising-based business and relies almost exclusively on the support of these great companies. We look forward to the increased and more flexible possibilities with them and this new website platform.

I could go on and on thanking everyone I’ve come in contact with over the past few years, but I don’t think that’s why you called…

We are about to head into a new AMA Supercross season and we all know we could have a new first-time champion in 2015. So, without further ado, let’s get to the racing!!! Thank you for your support and we look forward to even better things to come.
