Women Riders World Relay (WRWR) Lights Up the Globe with Over 7000 Batons Passed in the First 3 Weeks
Women Riders World Relay (WRWR) launched their 2026 global relay on January 1st and is fast on their mission to connect every woman rider in the world!
In just three weeks, more than 7,000 digital batons have been passed – in person, between real women riders—using the WRWR App.
Every pass ignites a light beam on a globe within the WRWR app, giving the entire world a visual of exactly how active and revved up women motorcyclists are.
WRWR is calling out to the global motorcycling press, mainstream media, and motorcycling community platforms to support women riders exposure and recognition – by sharing the story, writing features, celebrating our milestones, and helping us reach the women riders who still think they’re the only one.
“When we say we want to connect every woman rider in the world, it’s not a slogan. It’s a practical mission. Every baton pass is proof that women riders will show up for each other—across borders, languages, bike styles and experience levels.
If you’re in the press, media or community, we’d love your help to connect every woman rider in the world, share the untold stories of women riders & change the worlds perception or who a woman rider is and her capabilities” — Liza Miller, CEO
What is the WRWR App Relay?
The WRWR App Relay is the evolution of the original WRWR 2019 baton relay concept—now running globally throughout 2026 with a digital baton that riders pass in person, supported by the app.
This evolution has meant WRWR is able to connect every single woman rider, rather than just road riders with free calendars.
Inside the WRWR App, riders can:
- Join the global relay and log baton passes
- Connect with women riders in their country (and the whole world)
- Create and find events / ride-outs
- Take on challenges that build skills and consistency
- Celebrate progress through points, achievements, industry discounts and community recognition
The apps features all progress our mission to: Connect, Challenge, Change.
Why this matters (and why it’s news)
Women riders are the fastest-growing market in motorcycling globally – yet many still ride without community, recognition, appropriate safety equipment, or industry understanding of their needs.
WRWR exists to change that by building the world’s most connected network of women who ride—across every type of bike and every kind of life.
WRWR is powered by a growing global Ambassador network (now 100+ countries and counting) supporting local connection and safe, inclusive meet-ups.
“We have already, in the first 3 weeks of launch, nearly doubled the amount of baton passes we were able to achieve in the 2019 relay with the physical baton.
Over 7000 baton passes in 3 weeks is incredible and we have the full year to complete the relay.
I think women will pass well over a million batons easily by the year end and thats exactly the sort of exposure and recognition we need to show the industry how overlooked our market is.” — Hayley Bell, Founder & CEO
